The merchant glanced back at him, then forced a big grin at him. "Hey, kid, you look like you could use something. How about..." Hyung Jae looked over his table, sorting through the items before picking up a dreydel. "You could use a toy, hmm?"

Hyung Jae's smile faded away, replaced by a scowl. "What am I doing, talking to a fox," the man mumbled, pulling the dreydel away from the animal. "Go on, you, get out of here. Scarin' my customers."

"Go on, get out. Damn foxes." Hyung Jae shook his head and straightened the cloth covering his counter, looking out for more people to swindle.

The tiger glared angerly at her and stepped aside.
A girl with a hood walked over to the mercants table.

The merchant smiled instantly at his customer, deciding to take the guise of a polite young gentleman this time. "Why, hello there, miss," he cooed to her, just about the time he felt the fox slip under his table. A slight twinge of suspicion went through his spine and he shifted his weight onto one foot, pushing at the fox with his other foot as he cleared his throat to address the girl. "What can I help you with today?"

Hyung Jae's smile faltered and he froze for an instant before pulling back the leg that was pushing at the tiny animal. The man bent down to grab the fox around the middle, hoisting it up off the ground. "This guy? Oh, I could let him go for... maybe two-hundred? Three, even? He's a mighty good fox, you know." Nice save, Hyung Jae. Nice save.

The girl smiled back at the man. "Sure, let him go cheap." She reached into a pocket and got the money out. "Do you have a leash or chain?"

He frowned a little bit, looking at the fox again. Was that really cheap for a fox? Not like I'd know, of course, I don't usually SELL foxes. "I think I do, let me find it, here..." he said, kicking himself mentally for not knowing how to price a fox.
